Easy ways to impress 8th grade students...

Forget the fact that I can sing the states and the books of the Bible... today it had to do with my typing skills. They were all testing, so it was quiet in the room, making my typing at the computer seem super loud.

I was updating their class website with what I had just written on the board (which is behind my desk). So I had my head turned to look at the board while I typed. The fast typing was the first thing they noticed...then they realized that I wasn't even looking at the computer! They didn't believe me when I told them what I was doing, so I told them to come and watch. Apparently I am a freak show :) Haha...

"You're just like that Mavis Beacon lady!"

So I looked at them while I typed,
"That's because I AM Mavis Beacon."

Then I made them finish their tests :)
