Close...but not quite...

Yikes, didn't realize it'd been quite so long since my last post! :-p

Just a quick story now...from English class where they were playing a quick round of Scattergories at the end of the period. Topic: Things related to athletics. Letter: D.

9th grade girl: Doggie style!!
Mr. DeBor: Excuse me?
girl: I mean, downward dog!



Okay, okay, one more. Some background info first... a) Mr. Green is a counseling intern for the year, and, as the kids all know, he is Jewish. b) If it is a student's birthday, it is not uncommon to see her (hmm. Not sure if I've ever seen a male student do this...) walking around with money safety-pinned to herself, like some sort of fancy brooch. I guess people are supposed to give her money to add to the display in honor of her birthday. Anyway, it was a 9th grade girl's birthday recently, and she had quite the collection of bills.

Mr. Green: Hey! What's this? (reaches for the $20)
student: (backing up defensively) Whoa! Mr. Green, I know you're Jewish, but...
